Our team began Phase 1 of the vital restoration project on the hospital parking garage in St. Charles, MO, focusing on assessing and addressing immediate structural concerns. This phase included shallow depth repairs to tackle surface damage and ensure a smooth driving experience for users. We also conducted full depth repairs to address significant structural issues and maintain the long-term stability of the garage. Key tasks included repairing columns, beams, and soffits to reinforce these critical structural components. We addressed surface scaling to remove deteriorated concrete and restore the garage’s surface integrity. Additionally, post-tension repairs were performed to strengthen the existing concrete and enhance the overall durability of the structure. Winged expansion joints were replaced to accommodate natural building movement and prevent future cracks, while metal support brackets were installed for additional reinforcement. To ensure a clean and safe working environment, dust partitions were utilized throughout this phase. Shoring was provided for temporary support during repairs, guaranteeing the structure's safety and stability.
